Well, he's arguably the reason SmackDown is what it is today.

The People's Champion was the very first face to appear on the program’s very first episode on Aug. 26, 1999, in Kansas City, making it clear in the opening segment that SmackDown was his show - and The Rock may still be the most famous name ever to grace the brand.

From his WWE Championship Match against Triple H on the first ever episode to his monumental return in 2013, the eyebrow-raising legend electrified Thursday and Friday nights.

While SmackDown has come a long way since The Rock last appeared on the show, if one star should return at the show, you'd have to think it should be The Great One.

Batista, Rey Mysterio and Edge are all massive names in their own right, but a surprise appearance or a late announcement to confirm The Rock would bring the eyes of the world to this monumental show and, with Fox officials watching on, you can bet it wouldn't hurt if WWE could bring in the world's biggest star right now for an appearance at SmackDown 1000.
