Over the years, the Undertaker has constructed an unparalleled legacy for himself at Wrestlemania. He was unbeaten at Wrestlemania until 2014 when the Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar, finally conquered the winning streak of Undertaker at WM30.

The Undertaker has faced many elite performers like Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, CM Punk, Randy Orton, Batista, and Edge at the Showcase of the Immortals and managed to defeat all of them.

His classic Mania encounter with Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania 25 is widely regarded as one of the greatest wrestling matches of all time. The Phenom consistently delivered exemplary performances at Wrestlemania and became synonymous with the event over the course of his illustrious career.

But in the last few years, the quality of his encounters has declined considerably as age seems to have caught up with him. Recurring medical issues have also played their part in slowing him down, as his matches at Wrestlemania 31, 32, and 33 were average at best.

In what was a much-anticipated Wrestlemania dream match of this era, The Deadman finally faced John Cena at Wrestlemania 34 in an impromptu matchup. To the dismay of the WWE universe, the contest lasted just 2 minutes as Undertaker squashed John Cena in a one-sided encounter.

Ever since the April, rumors have been going around that Undertaker might face John Cena again at Wrestlemania 35 in career vs career match. Two of the biggest WWE superstars of all time facing in a high stake match at Wrestlemania is always a great selling point but an argument can be made that the two established stars can instead help upcoming future stars by sharing the ring with them.

In this slideshow, we are going to take a look at 3 superstars other than John Cena who may be better opponents for the Undertaker to face at Wrestlemania 35.

Honorable mentions - Drew McIntyre and Braun Strowman

#3 Finn Balor

Finn Balor is a supremely gifted performer in the ring but has been misused by the WWE creative team since his comeback last year. In the recent times, he has been involved in dreadful feuds with Baron Corbin and Bobby Lashley, which have actually done nothing for any of the superstars involved.

He had an impressive showing in the Royal Rumble match this year and also had some wonderful matches with the likes of Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre.

More than anyone, it is him who needs to go against the Undertaker at Wrestlemania 35 in order to resurrect his WWE career and once again establish himself as a credible main eventer. His demon character will mesh perfectly with the feud.

#2 Aleister Black

Former NXT Champion Aleister Black is one of the best hard-hitting strikers in all of WWE right now. His character is also very unique and mysterious. He has proved himself in the ring over the last year as he put on classic encounters along with the likes of Velveteen Dream, Johnny Gargano, Adam Cole and Andrade 'Cien' Almas.

He has had quite an impressive run in NXT, as he remained undefeated for over a year in the singles competition before losing to the current NXT Champion Tomasso Ciampa. He is one of the protected superstars in NXT right now and may be called up to the main roster anytime soon as he has accomplished almost everything in NXT.

Aleister Black might be the ideal superstar who should be given the opportunity to retire The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 35 as he can carry forward the legacy of the Deadman through his mysterious character.

#1 AJ Styles

A Wrestlemania match between AJ Styles and The Undertaker might seem odd at first glance, as there are no indications of the feud materializing right now. But if you look back into history, The Undertaker has always (at least after 2000) faced elite performers at Wrestlemania and put on several classics.

AJ Styles is arguably the best wrestler in WWE right now and he has the ability to carry Undertaker during a match and they can combine to have a marvelous encounter on the Grandest Stage of Them All.

If Undertaker wants to end his career on high by putting on a classic Wrestlemania encounter, then AJ Styles is the best possible opponent for him available in WWE right now.

In just two years, the Phenomenal One has achieved more than what many could not achieve in over a decade. An encounter with the Deadman at Wrestlemania 35 would further enhance his list of accolades.
