#1: Batista's possible motivations while calling out Triple H

“Hey Hunter, do I have your attention now?”
“Hey Hunter, do I have your attention now?”

Since the 1000th episode of SmackDown, rumours had been suggesting that a possible rivalry featuring Triple H and Batista at the forefront was in the works, and last night, this rumour indeed came true.

In what wrestling fans could describe as one of the most unexpected moments in recent memory, Batista attacked Ric Flair during the latter's 70th birthday celebration.

While Triple H, Stephanie McMahon and a few other legends waited in the ring for Ric Flair to arrive, the camera suddenly panned to the backstage area, where Batista dragged a cameraman towards Ric Flair's locker room, only to barge inside and drag the Nature Boy in front of millions of fans watching the show live.

He did get Triple H's attention to say the least, and before you know it, Batista's return to portraying a full-fledged heel in this particular situation proves that things have become personal.

After all, during the 1000th episode of SmackDown last year, Batista appreciated Triple H for his accolades, but he also made a specific point that Hunter had done everything in WWE, except beating Batista.

Maybe Batista's (the character) true motivation here is to face Triple H at WrestleMania 35. He wants to solidify himself as a superior member of Evolution, who can hold the "Triple H couldn't beat me" argument against every critic throughout the years.

Maybe Batista's current angle is a knock towards his underwhelming 2014 run, and this particular feud could be Batista's redemption story. After all, he had expressed a desire to return to the ring several times last year.

Now that we are set to witness a potential battle between Triple H and Batista at WrestleMania 35, things are about to pick up in the next few weeks...
