#2 'A Moment Of Bliss' turned into a cliche

Is this the fresh start we deserve?

The good old fashioned way of letting the Royal Rumble match competitors slug it out in a brawl before the event itself has turned into a cliche nowadays.

Not only did we see that occur on last night's episode during "A Moment Of Bliss" segment starring Alexa Bliss, but there were also a lot of other things to point out here.

For starters, the fact that Alexa Bliss had to announce all the confirmed Royal Rumble entrants felt unnecessary. One of the best things about the Royal Rumble match is the unpredictability factor surrounding it, and announcing some contestants beforehand takes some of that flair away in front of the viewer's eyes.

While Alexa Bliss announced her entry after the chaos shifted towards the backstage area, Lacey Evans had to come out to introduce herself as "The Lady" of women's wrestling and also put the former in her place.

There are some cliches that work, and some that don't. Lacey Evans personifies the southern stereotype, and while this character has been played out in Hollywood numerous times, it is a gimmick that separates Evans from the rest of the roster.
