But this theme also played out in several other segments as well. It was quite obvious during Apollo Crews vs. Bobby Lashley, and even before the match itself, where both competitors participated in a posing contest.

Eventually, Crews lost, proving Vince McMahon's theory correct - fairy tales don't come true. Goliath is most likely to conquer.

However, on the contrary, this theme was also seen in Drew McIntyre vs. Seth Rollins, and unlike Crews vs. Lashley, Seth Rollins (David) won the match by using his brain.

This was some clever writing on the creative team's behalf. It proves that there are two sides to this 'David vs. Goliath' argument. But it is the Royal Rumble where things finally come full-circle: Can Finn Balor overcome the odds by conquering the Beast to bring the championship back to its people, or will the Beast unleash his wrath and prove to everyone that fairy tales do not come true?
