#2: The cross-branded Battle Royal showed us that the fans are ready for other challengers for Brock Lesnar's Universal Title

Seth Rollins had to reclaim his #1 contenders spot to face Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship at this year's SummerSlam Pay-Per-View.

The Kingslayer received mild applause after winning last night's all-star cross-branded Battle Royal match.

Several times throughout the multi-man bout itself, fans kept rooting for alternative wrestlers other than Seth Rollins as the new #1 contender.

This shows us that even though WWE wants to keep rehashing an old storyline for the Universal Championship, fans already want to move on from the Rollins-Lesnar saga. Randy Orton, Big E and Braun Strowman could have been surprising alternatives in this case.

However, every choice comes with its own set of pros and cons, and one can't expect WWE to brush over Seth Rollins' payback against the Beast after what happened at Extreme Rules 2019.
