#2: Why Alexa Bliss became the #1 contender for Bayley's SmackDown Live Women's Championship

Alexa Bliss became the #1 contender for Bayley's SmackDown Live Women's Championship despite being on the RAW Brand.

Vince McMahon's Wild Card Rule enables a couple of random wrestlers to appear on both brands, and Bliss just happened to be a candidate who wrestled on SmackDown Live last night.

When it comes to the Triple Threat match itself, we know that Charlotte Flair has had too many opportunities already, and without even taking that into account, it seems that The Queen has some unfinished business with Lacey Evans and Becky Lynch over at Monday Night RAW.

Carmella was a prime candidate to be pinned in last night's Triple Threat match, and to a certain extent, a Carmella/Bayley feud is not an ideal programme to hook the viewers in.

That leaves us with Alexa Bliss, who has already established herself on the roster numerous times before, and now it seems that The Goddess will face Bayley for the SmackDown Live Women's Title.

Even though this feud breaks some ground-rules when it comes the brand split, it is quite apparent that a career resurgence for Alexa Bliss could also bring some edge to Bayley's run as the current SmackDown Live Women's Champion.
