From Mr McMahon pitting Kofi Kingston against immeasurable odds to Shane McMahon addressing his sickening attack during WWE Fastlane, this week's edition of WWE SmackDown Live (12th March 2019) featured a lot of contrasting moments indeed.

To be quite honest, the episode itself was nonchalantly themed throughout the entire night (except the last segment). There was nothing particularly bad when it came to any booking decisions made during the show, but given the fact that we are now just three weeks away from this year's WrestleMania, one expects WWE's weekly shows to deliver on a grander scale.

With that being said, here are a few interesting observations you may have missed during this week's edition of SmackDown Live.

#3: Vince McMahon will always be one of the greatest heels and the biggest trolls of the wrestling industry

If you thought that the entire McMahon family was going to heartily cater to their fans needs after proclaiming to bring in a new set of changes, things might have become a lot complicated for you in recent times.

Mr. McMahon is one of the most iconic on-screen characters in the wrestling industry. His decisions can be volatile, and it is hard to predict and understand the exact reason behind his each and every decision.

So it comes off as no surprise that during last night's show, fans were glued to a charismatic back-and-forth of words between Mr. McMahon and the members of The New Day. Not only Mr. McMahon's (the character) self-justified ego was at full display, but his purposeful intent to make decisions and deliver his lines with a 'troll-like' attitude had me genuinely howling with laughter during his bits.

Apparently, no one deserves anything, not even Vince McMahon (according to Mr McMahon himself!).

Now Kofi Kingston has to defeat Randy Orton... and Samoa Joe... and The Bar... and Rowan in a Gauntlet Match next week just in order to prove that he deserves to face Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship!

Never stop the trolling, Mr McMahon...

#2: Shane McMahon's heel turn brings a new edge to his character

"I'm not the best in the world because I won the trophy...I'm the best in the world because I was BORN that way."

In recent times, Shane McMahon was always considered as the most level-headed member of the McMahon family.

His character always came off as an authority figure who catered to the fans needs. Shane also broke out of his mold by performing at a very high level for a superstar his age.

However, now that Shane McMahon is a full-fledged heel, we might potentially witness his capabilities from an entirely different perspective.

The very fact that his character took some sort of a narcissistic turn last night shows us that Shane McMahon's newfound unlikeability might succeed in portraying The Miz as a successful babyface in the future.

What are your thoughts on the Miz-Shane feud that will potentially broaden the scope for both characters to flourish in their new respective roles after WrestleMania 35?

#1: The Styles-Orton feud is going to be a massive clash between two differing ideologies in the wrestling industry

Randy Orton is the corporate star that was destined to succeed in the WWE. He had several influential figures to rely upon throughout his entire career. In a way, one could say that Randy Orton was manufactured to succeed as a WWE Superstar.

On the other end of this equation, AJ Styles built his fame on the professional wrestling circuit surrounding the biggest sports entertainment company (WWE). Styles had a huge hand in attracting a considerable amount of wrestling fans to watch alternative forms of wrestling entertainment other than the WWE.

Styles was also one of the names that helped build TNA, and it was good on WWE's part to mention that fact.

Both of these superstars brought up interesting points to counter the other's argument. You could say that this entire feud is built upon the clashing ideologies of Randy Orton and AJ Styles as Professional Wrestlers.

Their segment perfectly highlighted a major divide between WWE and other popular wrestling promotions. One can only hope for the writers to flesh out this particular aspect of their feud in the next few weeks...

After all, who knows what could happen when AEW enters the game?
