#2: How WWE used Charlotte Flair to elevate Bayley's title win to a whole new level

Bayley's character arc has been one of the biggest successes from this year's Money In The Bank Pay-Per-View.

From winning the MITB Briefcase to successfully cashing it in grand fashion, all the momentum seems to be on Bayley's side right now.

A large chunk of that momentum is on Bayley's side because of how the circumstances exactly played out. Even though Charlotte Flair is the ultimate female athlete on WWE's main roster, the fans have a tendency to dislike her for a variety of reasons.

However, putting the title on Charlotte Flair established two important things:

1) It is now apparent that Charlotte Flair is being booked to match (or potentially break) her father, Ric Flair's record when it comes to the most world championship wins.

2) One way to ensure that Charlotte Flair's character does not face some fan backlash as a byproduct of this decision was for her to drop the title to Bayley on the same night.

Also, the reaction of the WWE Universe to Bayley winning the SmackDown Live Women's Championship from Charlotte Flair was a complete reversal from how frustrated they felt just before Bayley cashed in her MITB Briefcase.

So at the end of the day, the writers had a huge role in making Bayley's redemption story more successful than we would have initially expected it to be.
