3 Legendary Superstars who The Undertaker never faced at WrestleMania

Without a shadow of a doubt, The Undertaker will go down as the greatest performer in WrestleMania history. Over the course of three decades, ‘The Phenom’ competed in a staggering 26 times at WrestleMania, and emerged victorious on a whopping 24 occasions. His incredible run of 21 consecutive victories at WrestleMania, famously referred to as 'The Streak’, is widely considered as the greatest accomplishment in the history of sports entertainment.

And over the course of a quarter of a century, The Undertaker feuded with several icons of the business including the likes of Triple H, Kane, John Cena, Shawn Michaels, Batista, Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns at WrestleMania.

But then, in spite of having such a long and illustrious career, The Undertaker did not face some of the biggest legends of the WWE at the 'Show Of Shows'.

In this article, let us look at three of the biggest icons of the WWE that the Undertaker never faced at WrestleMania.

#3 Goldberg

Goldberg and The Undertaker have been the cornerstones of pro-wrestling for the past two decades. But then, the two men have never been booked in a feud with each other.

In fact, the only time that they even shared the same ring in a match was during the 2017 Royal Rumble when ‘The DeadMan' eliminated Goldberg.

Goldberg returned to the ring after a decade long hiatus from in-ring competition in 2016, but then, WWE booked Brock Lesnar to feud with Goldberg.

Perhaps WWE could have booked The Undertaker against Goldberg for WrestleMania XXXIII, and allowed a legend like Goldberg to hand The Undertaker his second loss at the 'Grandest Stage Of Them All' instead of putting Roman Reigns over against the Phenom.

#2 The Rock

The Undertaker and The Rock have been two of the biggest Superstars ever in the history of WWE. For over two decades in the industry, ‘The Great One’ and ‘The Phenom’ have scripted their own paths to the top of the business.

The Rock has been in the ring at WrestleMania with several legends of the business including the likes of ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan and John Cena, but never set foot in the ring with the Deadman, The Undertaker.

This match could have been the biggest ever had the WWE booked Undertaker and The Rock at the biggest event of the year but sadly, the feud never materialised at WrestleMania.

Yes, the two legends faced off against each other many times, especially during the ‘Attitude Era’ but never stepped into the ring at the ‘Grandest Stage Of Them All’

#1 Stone Cold Steve Austin

Stone Cold will arguably go down as the biggest Superstar of the Attitude era. The ‘Texas Rattlesnake' was a man who exuded charisma, and was involved in some of the greatest story lines ever produced by the WWE.

He feuded with The Undertaker many times in the 1990's, with their epic SummerSlam 1998 match turning out be an absolute classic. But two of WWE’s biggest Superstars never squared off against each other at the 'Grandest Stage Of Them All’.

Also, in 2003, due to the aftermaths of severe neck injury he had sustained in 1998, Stone Cold’s in-ring career came to an end.

And though The Undertaker faced some of the biggest legends of the business, he never set foot at WrestleMania against Stone Cold.

The Undertaker’s mind games against Austin’s charisma could have made the storyline and the match an absolute blockbuster, but this match never materialised and now, it never will.
