3 Massive dream matches that could happen at future WWE Saudi Arabia shows

With Saudi Arabia paying WWE a considerable amount of money to run a few shows per year in the country, Vince McMahon has been willing to spend the big bucks on some of pro wrestling's biggest names in order to get them on the card. In fact, they've even been able to bring wrestlers like Shawn Michaels out of retirement for their Saudi shows.

Next week's Super ShowDown will feature a longtime dream match between Bill Goldberg and The Undertaker, and while this match is taking place more than ten years too late, it's certainly still a noteworthy contest.

Big names and matches have been pretty necessary for the first few shows in the country, so it's realistic to expect that to continue going forward. So, with that in mind, here are three potential huge dream matches that WWE might book for future shows in Saudi Arabia.

#3 AJ Styles vs Shawn Michaels

Back in 2017, prior to that year's Royal Rumble in San Antonio, Texas, the hometown of Shawn Michaels, the then WWE World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles created a little buzz about a potential dream match between himself and the "Heartbreak Kid."

Obviously, the match didn't happen, as Michaels elected to stay retired.

But as we saw last year, the WWE Hall of Famer is willing to come out of retirement for the right price. So, if Vince McMahon offers the "Heartbreak Kid" a ton of money to do another show in Saudi Arabia, the best opponent to book him against would be AJ Styles.

Of course, booking Michaels against Daniel Bryan would probably be a better story, as "HBK" was one of the men who trained Bryan, but as we already know, the former WWE Champion isn't willing to wrestle in Saudi Arabia, so Styles would be the next best option.

#2 The Undertaker vs Finn Balor (Demon King)

As previously mentioned, The Undertaker will be competing against Bill Goldberg at next week's Super ShowDown special on the WWE Network, which means that "The Deadman" will have wrestled at every single one of WWE's shows in Saudi Arabia. So, with that in mind, it's realistic to expect that he'll be involved in each card going forward until he decides to retire.

One match that WWE fans have been wanting to see for quite some time is Finn Balor, as the "Demon King," against The Undertaker. Most were hoping we'd get it back at WrestleMania, but it clearly wasn't in the cards.

But, WWE probably should book a match like this for a future Saudi show. It'd probably be a good match, as Balor would likely be able to work well with The Undertaker, despite "The Phenom's" obvious limitations. On top of that, it would allow the "Demon King" character to get a notable win over a legendary character, should WWE decide to go in that direction.

#1 Goldberg vs Roman Reigns

When Goldberg was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, he never outright said that he's retiring, but there wasn't an obvious scenario for him to make a return to the ring if he decided to do so.

But thanks to WWE's deal with Saudi Arabia, they can now pay guys like Goldberg, who's wrestling on next week's show, to come back and do big matches. So after his big match with The Undertaker at Super ShowDown, it could be time to book the former WCW megastar against Roman Reigns.

Clearly the match wouldn't end up being a 30-minute instant classic, but it'd be a huge match that would be short, physical, and hard-hitting. In fact, the two could have the same type of match that Goldberg had with Brock Lesnar back at WrestleMania 33.

In short, if Goldberg has a match or two left in him, then at least one of them should be against Roman Reigns.
