NXT Takeover: Toronto happens tonight, and this is one of the shows that gets the fans talking. What was once a developmental brand has turned into a show that has redefined careers and paved the way for many Superstars to become main event Superstars. The list is endless as Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Kevin Owens, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins are amongst few of the wrestlers that have been the reason for amazing storylines on the main roster.
With SummerSlam happening tomorrow, NXT Takeover takes center stage today, and there are a total of 5 matches announced for the show. The 5 matches are amongst the best performers on the Yellow brand, but in this article, I look at three matches that will become the talk of the show and also elevate the careers of the wrestlers.

#3 Candice LeRae vs. Io Shirai
Ever since Io Shirai turned her character and attacked Candice LeRae, the wrestling fans have been buzzing on how this will pan out. The two wrestlers are great in-ring performers, and if the performance skill of the two is any indication, they will put on a clinic between the ropes which will only elevate the women's division on the yellow brand.
With this being the best place to showcase their skills, we can rest assured that the performance by the two will only elevate the division and also put everyone else on notice. These two may be far away from a shot at the NXT Women's Championship at this moment but their work will not only help their careers but also ensure that this match becomes the talk of the town when the show is over.
#2 NXT North American Champion Velveteen Dream vs. Pete Dunne vs. Roderick Strong (Triple Threat Match)
It shouldn't surprise anyone that the three wrestlers in this match are a part of this list. They command the action between the ropes, and if their in-ring prowess is something to go by we know that they can pull off something exemplary when the situation arises.
Velveteen Dream is a master between the ropes while Pete Dunne was a former Champion. His work was superb, and although he lost to Walter, his prowess has not gone down.
On the other hand, Roderick Strong has been good between the ropes, and it would be nice to see how he performs inside the squared circle. The three exchanging blows during the match will be a treat for everyone, and this will be one of the major reasons why everyone should and would tune in to watch.
#1 NXT Champion Adam Cole vs. Johnny Gargano (2-out-of-3 Falls Match)
NXT Champion Adam Cole vs. Johnny Gargano is the best match on the card because these two wrestlers have elevated the feud and the intensity of the match that is second to none. At this moment, there are no two wrestlers that can match the intensity of their ongoing feud, and it would be good if they returned the favor of fans with quality action.
The amount of energy that they have and the way they cut their promos, one can rest assured that the action will also culminate between the ropes at NXT Takeover: Toronto in the same manner. They are the top guys on the yellow brand, and their work will only help the fans to tune into weekly NXT shows on Wednesday.
