In early 2016, it was reported that WWE reportedly scrapped a Wrestlemania match between The Undertaker and Braun Strowman due to fan backlash and resentment, owing to the latter's inexperience and lack of skill. However, Braun Strowman has come a long way in the post-brand split period. He has developed his in-ring arsenal and has established himself as a force to be reckoned with.
On an episode of Raw in March 2017, Strowman called out Roman Reigns, but The Undertaker showed up instead of him, to the delight of fans. WWE teased a future show-down between Taker and Strowman that night and the crowd was red-hot for it. This means that fans would definitely accept the prospect of watching this two heavy-weights clash.
