3 matches Triple H can add to the Countdown to WWE SummerSlam

WWE SummerSlam 2024 is set to feature several exciting matches with some of the company's top stars. However, the action of The Biggest Party of The Summer could begin even before the official show starts.

As of this writing, seven matches are already set for WWE SummerSlam, with six of them being for a championship. Stars like Cody Rhodes, Solo Sikoa, CM Punk, Drew McIntyre, Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan, and more are set to appear next week for the show. However, more stars, matches, and titles could occur during the Countdown show.

For this list, we will look at three matches Triple H can add to the Countdown to WWE SummerSlam:

#3. WWE SummerSlam Battle Royal

Several top stars are missing from the upcoming Premium Live Event, which includes Sheamus, Jey Uso, Street Profits, AJ Styles, Rey Mysterio, The Miz, R-Truth, Braun Strowman, and more. However, one route WWE usually takes to include stars on PLEs without needing to set up a storyline is through Battle Royals.

Last year, the Stamford-based promotion held a Slim Jim Battle Royal and crowned LA Knight as the winner. It could be a good way for fans to get a lighter tone before the serious stuff begins, and it could even give the stars a chance to be showcased without the heavy burden.

#2. #DIY vs. The Bloodline for the Tag Team Championship

This week's Friday Night SmackDown episode will feature a Number One Contenders Gauntlet Match to determine the challengers for #DIY's (Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano) WWE Tag Team Championship. Pretty Deadly, The O.C., Street Profits, The Bloodline (Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa), Baron Corbin and Apollo Crews, and Legado Del Fantasma's Angel and Berto are set to compete.

However, since the episode was taped last week, it's already known that Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa won the match.

While it's already known that The Bloodline vs. DIY will occur, it's still unknown when it could happen. One option could be at the SmackDown before WWE SummerSlam, but it will be better if it happens during the Countdown Show ahead of The Biggest Party of The Summer.

#1. Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill vs. Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre

The Women's Tag Team Championship is unfortunately not one of the titles that will be defended at SummerSlam 2024 (as of this writing). However, Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill continue their quest to reclaim them.

For the Countdown to WWE SummerSlam, the Stamford-based promotion could add the Women's Tag Team Title match between The Unholy Union and Belair and Cargill. In this way, those in attendance could be treated to an exciting match. It could also lead to a rumored betrayal of The EST by Jade Cargill.
