The World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) is a hub for physically endowed men and women to perform spectacular choreographed moves. For many decades, it has stretched its fan base from a couple thousand to millions across the world. The advancement in technology and media has enabled the WWE to grow its nest to a global audience.

There have been many complaints about WWE's creative team who nowadays deliver predictable storylines. Despite these reactions, WWE still commands a huge audience who are hooked to their various shows.

It comes as a little surprise that they dominate the billion dollar industry. Numerous calls have been made especially on Monday Night Raw to push superstars such as Bobby Lashley against Brock Lesnar, who lack serious competition. Unfortunately, Roman Reigns' condition has paved the way for Lesnar to continue asserting his dominance during his part-time appearances and squash matches.

Despite wrestling being acting by professional performers who take years to perfect and do safely, there are some pretty nasty finishing moves by various superstars. If done in real life, they could have damaging consequences to the human body.

#3 Spear

The spear is one of the most popular finishing maneuvers in the WWE. It has been a part of various superstars' arsenals in the course of history. Top performers such as Goldberg, Batista, Bobby Lashley, Edge, and Reigns have all made the move popular. The move has been used to bring down giants such as Big Show, Viscera, and The Great Khali down to sell the finish.

Ideally, the wrestler on the offence creates some distance, charges his/her opponent at full speed and delivers the waist tackle. There is an element of unpredictability when it comes to the landing as the superstar can hit his/her back of the head on the ground thus causing serious injury in the process. Of course, it is only for entertainment, but it has to be executed perfectly.

#2 Chokeslam

This is the most popular finishing move among the big men in wrestling. This move is executed by placing a firm hand on an opponent's throat, hoisting them high in the air with the help of the free hand and then sending them crashing down on their backs.

Big Show, The Undertaker and Kane have all been famous for using the chokeslam to put away their challengers. Modern superstars such as Braun Strowman and Baron Cobin have used their modified versions of the chokeslam.

Due to the elevation of the chokeslam, superstars could have a nasty impact once they hit the ground. Essentially, the safest bet would be to land on their backs. Execution of the move could fail as the superstar could bounce once their backs, hit the ground and damage the backside of their heads.

Even in WWE games, some superstars are seen holding the back of their heads after the impact of the chokeslam. The move has also been used to put opponents through a table or the steel steps. Imagine the same impact on these objects.

#1 Tombstone Piledriver

This is a move that was exclusive to the most dominant figure in WWE history: The Undertaker. His Wrestlemania streak may never be duplicated or even matched. His entrance and general WWE persona are iconic. He has played the role of a supernatural entity who takes peoples' souls once he beats them in the ring.

It is only befitting that his finisher is named the 'Tombstone' to match the 'Undertaker' name. WWE sells the move as Undertaker lifting his opponents upside down and bashing their heads on the ground in a kneeling position. This by far is the most devastating move in WWE. It has earned him a lot of victories. His WWE brother, Kane, has also been known to use the move in matches.

The effect of the Tombstone Piledriver is so severe that superstars such as Triple H have used the move on the Undertaker himself to try to win. The focus of this move is the head-bashing which in truth is very dangerous.
