Triple H built Asuka as a killing machine by putting in humongous time and effort. One year ago, Asuka had an undefeated streak from 2015 to 2018, ranging a mammoth 914 days. However, all good things must come to an end, and WWE did the same by tapping Asuka out to Charlotte's Figure 8 leg lock at WrestleMania 34.

Since then, the main roster creative team became bewildered and had no other plans for The Empress of Tomorrow, as they had Asuka lose to the likes of Carmella repeatedly. It took Asuka more than six months to recover from her first defeat in WWE.

When Asuka finally captured the SmackDown Women's Championship in the main event of TLC 2018, the WWE Universe was hopeful about the future of Asuka in WWE. However, after retaining her title at Royal Rumble, Asuka was abruptly taken off WWE TV and was not given any major rivalries.

Now, with less than two weeks to go for WrestleMania 35, the WWE Creative team wrongly booked her again by taking the title off her.
