The WWE ratings have been going up and down in recent times and the company isn’t really happy about it. After SmackDown Live experienced record-low viewership a few weeks ago, it was Monday Night Raw which did the same last week. Due to this, the higher level hierarchy would be worried and would want to change things around. Though the ratings have improved in recent times, they need to focus on keeping them steady if they wish to compete with their rivals.

With that being said, some of the bookings in recent times have been questionable and the fans would be hoping for an improvement. Some of the superstars have not been utilized properly, but one star who has recently been given a push is Ricochet.

A recent win over the United States champion Samoa Joe sparked a push for Ricochet that brought him into the main-event picture. The high flyer took on AJ Styles on RAW, the night following Stomping Grounds, though he ended up falling short in that match.

The fans want to see more of him, and here are three potential opponents for Ricochet post-WWE Extreme Rules.

#3 Bobby Lashley

Power Vs Speed
Power Vs Speed

In the latest WWE NEWS, WWE tried to showcase the fact that The All Mighty is still on top of his game, as he once again continues the feud against Strowman. They may have more in store for the two heavyweight superstars, who produced a display of power at Super ShowDown and this week on RAW. The fans too may want to see these two big wrestlers get into more storylines to showcase their pure strength and it may continue at Extreme Rules, as per what is quite evident currently.

However, beyond this pay-per-view, Lashley may turn his attention to titles and become the no. 1 contender for the US title. He may challenge the rising star, Ricochet and the two may be involved in a rivalry to be called the champ. It could be something different row, as they haven’t faced off yet.

#2 Sami Zayn

Face vs Heel once again

Zayn has been getting a major push in recent times and he has been looking for a main-event push. However, he has not been in the picture for either the WWE title or the Universal title. This could mean that he may be given a push in the US title picture and he may go after Ricochet.

It could develop into something big with the two trying to make a name for themselves in the long-run, especially Sami, who hasn’t had much luck since his main-roster move. It could surely develop into a good storyline, with Kevin Owens also being involved. If the writers give it some time to actually develop and not immediately toss it into the dumpster (pun intended).

Sami does deserve some more time in the spotlight and it may actually do some good for his career if the WWE shows a little more faith in him and possibly puts a title on him in the near future.

#1 Samoa Joe

The former United States Champion did not get a rematch before AJ Styles got in and took a shot at Ricochet. Joe instead attacked Kofi Kingston in anger, after being left out of the main-event picture and he is not pleased with the way that he has been treated.

He is a fierce competitor and any champion needs a strong challenger. He is one guy who does not fear anyone and can deliver one hell of a promo, due to which he has been drawing cheers from the audiences.

The Samoan Destroyer needs a proper push and a long-term feud with Ricochet could be something that might help boost his career too. He has done the same with Styles previously and this could be something that the fans may also enjoy.

Hopefully, the company now gives Joe the opportunity to showcase himself as a top player, which has really not happened since his move to the main roster, just like Zayn.
