3 possible debuts or returns that could happen at WWE Elimination Chamber 2019

What does WWE have in store for us on Sunday?

The second to last WWE pay-per-view on the road to WrestleMania 35 is set to take place in a matter of days. Elimination Chamber will feature two matches inside the titular structure, for two very different championships.

Another couple of matches have been announced which could provide some potential to make this a more than decent show. Events between Royal Rumble and WrestleMania are usually fillers, not doing a lot to build already high anticipation for the 'Mania card. Some of the potentials lie in the surprises that WWE might have for us on Sunday.

With a month and a half away from the Show of Shows, it would not be likely to see a lot of major developments take place on this show aside from a title change or two.

The WWE Championship will be defended in the Chamber match, as will be the crowning of the inaugural WWE Women's Tag Team Champions. Other matches on the card involve a tag title match, a women's title match, a handicap match, and a No Disqualification match. The spots for shenanigans are few and far between, but as mentioned above, there is potential.

Here are three possible surprise appearances that could take place at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.

#3 Lars Sullivan

He is still lurking
He is still lurking

The vignettes for Lars Sullivan's main roster debut first aired during Survivor Series weekend, and three months later, there is still no sign of him. There are no more vignettes as well. Sullivan apparently suffered an anxiety attack before his scheduled debut on Raw in January.

Since then, he hasn't been heard from or mentioned on WWE TV. The company reportedly had big plans for the big man upon his arrival to the main roster, with a match with John Cena at WrestleMania being rumored.

But now that match and other plans surrounding him have been pushed off the table unless he is now ready to debut. Sullivan could still have a big match at 'Mania with another opponent who presumably doesn't have a clear path to the show - Braun Strowman.

The battle of the two biggest monsters in WWE would certainly be an interesting bout for WrestleMania, and the build to it could begin during Strowman's No Disqualification match against Baron Corbin. That match is literally crying out for shenanigans.

#2 Bray Wyatt

It's been a really long time
It's been a really long time

Bray Wyatt was last seen on WWE programming over half a year ago. Since then, he has been completely off the WWE circuit aside from a few house show appearances, most notably at the untelevised portion of Starrcade, back in November.

Since then, the WWE Universe has been waiting in anticipation for Wyatt to return, with each passing week going by making the anticipation rise. This really is WWE's chance to make this man into a star, something that should have been done years ago.

The Eater of Worlds was last seen as a babyface, and could very well return as one. The match between Braun Strowman and Baron Corbin is one that is guaranteed shenanigans, with interference expected from the likes of Drew McIntyre.

Other names could show up as well and turn the tide on either side, like the aforementioned Lars Sullivan. However, the effect of a surprise Wyatt appearance would be as impactful, if not more. It would be great to see the Monster Among Men finally put down his eternal rival, following an assist from his former leader.

#1 Luke Harper

WWE needs to do much more with Harper
WWE needs to do much more with Harper

This is by far the likeliest surprise to take place at Elimination Chamber. Luke Harper has been sidelined for the last few months and hasn't been seen on TV since dropping the SmackDown Tag Team Championships alongside Erick Rowan, against the New Day, two nights after SummerSlam.

Rowan returned at Royal Rumble, interfering in Daniel Bryan's WWE Championship defense against AJ Styles. The sheep mask wearer is now siding with Bryan, with a notable slot for his tag team partner.

The second Bludgeon Brother will likely find some way to interfere in the WWE Championship Elimination Chamber match to help Bryan retain his WWE title. This would be extremely welcome, especially since Harper is ridiculously talented and deserves some amount of spotlight on SmackDown.

He has had considerable success in singles action, winning the Intercontinental Championship and getting so close to the WWE title match at WrestleMania 33. However, Luke Harper would currently make a really fine addition to Daniel Bryan's clan.
