The Samoan Submission Machine has failed in yet another WWE Championship pursuit. The former United States Champion was ousted out of the WWE Championship picture at Extreme Rules when he lost to Kofi Kingston. Samoa Joe recently lost to Roman Reigns at Raw Reunion and things are looking dark for the Samoan Submission Machine.
However, there is still some hope for Joe. A rivalry with Strowman could go a long way in reviving his career and bringing him back on top. Strowman and Joe brawled on the post-WrestleMania edition of SmackDown Live, but there was no follow-up to that segment. Joe and Strowman are two of the most revered athletes in WWE and putting them in the same ring would be best for business.
Joe has been struggling on the main roster, Strowman isn't as popular and credible as he once was either. SummerSlam is the perfect stage for such a monumental rivalry. Strowman vs Joe is a match most fans would love to see and there's more good than bad to it.
