On the surface, this might not appear as something significant, as WWE has already had The Rock assist Roman Reigns in the past. However, if they're actually planning on doing a Reigns vs. Rock match at some point in the future, perhaps at WrestleMania 36 next year, then they could have "The People's Champion" attack Reigns after he presumably defeats Drew McIntyre on Sunday.

But during the match, the smart move might be to have The Rock be in Reigns' corner to show support before he hits him with a surprise attack. This would probably mean that The Rock would end up being the heel in his feud with Reigns, which might actually backfire.
However, there's an outside chance that if WWE does this, they'll do what they did during the Cena vs. Rock feud, where both men were babyfaces, which didn't have a negative impact on their two matches whatsoever.
