#5 Bad idea: Kofi's reign shouldn't end like this

Kofi's emotional title reign that started at WrestleMania shouldn't end on a match with two weeks build
Kofi's emotional title reign that started at WrestleMania shouldn't end on a match with two weeks build

Kofi Kingston's reign as WWE Champion started at WrestleMania 35, in what was a truly emotional victory for the New Day star, and his fans. Kofi had clawed his way into the spot for eleven years, and though some fans have grown tired of the New Day star holding the historic title, there are far better ways for his reign to end.

A massively talented performer, Kingston could have a good match with just about anyone on the roster, and a feud with anyone could make for some great moments. Instead of that though, fans are getting Brock Lesnar, who many are already predicting will win the match, and capture his eighth World Championship.

With just two weeks to build to the huge title match on the pilot edition of SmackDown on FOX, there is little that Kofi can do to promote the match. Though I'm sure the contest will be a highly entertaining bout, it would be a rushed way to end Kingston's title reign, which has been one of the highlights of 2019.
