Naomi has, for the first time in her career, won the WWE Money in the Bank briefcase. The Glow outsmarted the likes of Rhea Ripley, Alexa Bliss, Roxanne Perez, Giulia, and Stephanie Vaquer to grab the suitcase at the Intuit Dome arena in Los Angeles. Naomi's win seemingly offers a glimpse into the promotion's plans for her in the future.

However, it was quite surprising to see the former two-time SmackDown Women's Champion win the briefcase despite the presence of three newly added main roster stars in the match. Her win might not be beneficial for WWE's other female superstars, who participated in the match.

Therefore, in this listicle, we will list out three reasons why Naomi winning the women's Money in the Bank is a huge mistake.

#3 Naomi recently said her full-time run is coming to an end

Naomi recently announced that she will be stepping back from WWE due to personal and health reasons. During a conversation at The Nikki and Brie Show in April, Naomi said that she would step away from WWE due to health concerns, as well as her plans of having children with her husband, Jimmy Uso.

She hinted that the break she would now take from wrestling would be a lengthy one, but the Money in the Bank win might not let her do that.

The briefcase will keep her on her toes throughout the years, and that's the reason it appears that booking her for the win at this stage of her career seems like a huge mistake.

#2 Money in the Bank contract is for new stars

Naomi's win also appears as a huge mistake because this briefcase is the route to the top for newer superstars who can get a shot at the WWE Championship. The Glow is not a new talent, and at this stage, she should be booked to support younger female talent on the roster, rather than taking the lead herself.

It was quite perplexing to see her win the briefcase despite the presence of three former NXT superstars (Stephanie Vaquer, Roxanne Perez, and Giulia). Rhea Ripley, Alexa Bliss, and Naomi were expected to put over these younger superstars and make them look good, but it ended with Naomi winning the suitcase.

In a way, The Glow's win has also killed a very golden opportunity for a young superstar to make her way to the top and win the briefcase in her hands.

#1 Naomi doesn’t need a briefcase at this stage of her WWE career

Naomi never really needed to win the Money in the Bank briefcase at this point in her career, having been in the promotion for over a decade. She is a two-time SmackDown Women's Champion and a former WWE Women's Tag Team Champion.

There's no point in putting the briefcase in her hands when she has already achieved a lot in her career. At this stage, she doesn't need a briefcase to challenge a superstar for the championship. Her track record tells that the promotion is bound to book her in big matches given her impressive ring skills.

However, she has already won the briefcase, and it now only remains to be seen against whom she cashes it. Will it be WWE Women's Champion Tiffany Stratton or the Women's World Champion IYO SKY? Only time will tell.
