3 reasons why The Rock should enter the Royal Rumble (and 3 he should not)

#4. Should enter: The Rock needs a perfect retirement match

Since returning to WWE in 2011, The Rock was included in storylines against John Cena for two years. After Cena stood tall after their feud at WrestleMania 29, it felt like The People's Champ had bid farewell to wrestling once and for all.

It would have been a perfect retirement match. However, The Brahma Bull contested another match. At WrestleMania 32, he was interrupted by the Wyatt Family. The Rock then challenged anyone superstar of the faction to an impromptu singles match.

Erick Rowan accepted the challenge and had to face the humiliation of defeat in a matter of six seconds. It's a shame that this was the last match The People's Champ ever contested.

Thus, The former World Champion should return to the Royal Rumble for one final stint to get a well-deserved return match against Reigns or any other superstar.

#3. Should not enter: Undesirable track record of returning superstars

We all want to see our favorite superstars return for one last time. However, the recent record of superstars coming out of hiatus for WWE has not been very impressive.

Though Edge and Daniel Bryan are notable exceptions to this trait, they returned to wrestling on an almost full-time basis, which may not be the case for The People's Champ.

Thus, The Rock should stay retired in order to avoid any stain on his legacy. More than anything, he must stay away from even the slightest of injuries that can affect his Hollywood career.
