Best friends, better enemies?

This is the number one reason why the Becky Lynch heel turn should and likely will happen. WWE see Charlotte Flair as their greatest female star and is the greatest challenge their current project, Ronda Rousey can face.

Rumours are abound that Flair will headline WrestleMania against Rousey. That is the only women's match that would have the marquee value to headline the biggest show of the year. Rousey, for all the money WWE are paying her, and due to her reduced schedule has and will be well-protected between now and Wrestlemania.

The story is different for Flair. After her excellent performance versus Asuka and ending the Japanese star's three-year undefeated streak, Flair was seemingly being positioned as a formidable opponent for Rousey. However, defeats to the severely limited Carmella and an injury has stunted her momentum markedly. She needs re-heating, badly.

One look at the heel roster that Smackdown has to offer, with limited in-ring performers such as the IIconics, Lana and Mandy Rose mean that if Flair is to be built up as an unbeatable performer once again, she needs a significant upgrade on a potential list of opponents.

That is where Lynch comes in. Lynch is a hugely effective performer in the ring and the microphone and could contest hugely entertaining and heated matches with Flair. It would be best for Lynch, Flair and as the McMahon's would say, best for business too.
