Braun Strowman is arguably the biggest deal on Monday nights, with the forced absence of Roman Reigns and the voluntary absence of Brock Lesnar from WWE Raw.

Since Roman Reigns had to leave due to illness which led to The Shield breaking up, Braun has been seen as the lone hound of justice trying to level the score with every heel on RAW, without a real storyline going.

The WWE Universe has been wanting to see the big man win a championship for a long time now, and with some big names out due to injury, also want to see him as the face of RAW, and eventually the face of WWE.

Even though Strowman is a good candidate for the job, there are far better options available on RAW who can become the face of the brand, such as Seth Rollins, Ronda Rousey, and Finn Balor.

With that said, we have three concrete reasons why Braun Strowman should not become the face of RAW any time soon, and there are a few changes that can be made to his presence and character which may help him become the face of RAW in the years to come.

#3 His gimmick has been weakened

When The Monster Among Men arrived as a part of The Wyatt Family, the entire roster knew that he was the biggest deal in the business. The serious and unstable monster of a man manhandled every single man who crossed his path.

Parting with The Wyatt Family and going forward, he was a top heel who even laid waste to WWE’s biggest man, The Big Show, and put him out of action for a long time.

Now competing as a lone wolf, the WWE has tried hard to make him the most lovable character on television, which has made him nothing but a joke most of the time. He is seen chasing wrestlers, employees, and cars around the arena, and flipping over everything that comes his way.

Even though the gimmick was good to begin with, it has gone on too long, and by now Braun Strowman should have been like nothing short of a face Brock Lesnar who was dead serious and wanted the weight of the roster on his shoulders.

Instead, Strowman is the man who every other heel wants to attack, then run away while he chases them out of the arena, then later comes out to warn the heel wrestler while the entire storyline is scrapped by the creative going forward.

#2 He is injury prone

It’s no secret that the bigger they are, the more prone to injury they are. Standing 6ft 8in tall and weighing 385lbs, Braun Strowman is not short of being a monster, and is one of the biggest men in WWE today.

With that said, he is more prone to injury than any other superstar. The reason for that being his weight and his technique taking a toll on him, and causing him a lot of trouble in the long run.

Strowman has struggled with knee problems for a while now according to Dave Meltzer. He has been working with ‘two fully blown out knees’, which is not a good sign for the WWE as he may give up any time, and will need to go under the knife, which could potentially take him out of action for a while.

To top that off, he had elbow issues and an elbow surgery in the past, and now again he has had to go under the knife to fix his elbow, which is not a good sign for the big man who is unstoppable on television.

An injury prone wrestler being the face of a brand is no good, no matter how big a star he is. Once he is written off TV due to injury, the entire roster seems weakened, which we have seen happen recently in the case of Roman Reigns and Becky Lynch.

#1 He lacks the charisma

To become the face of a brand or of the WWE, a lot of charisma and stage presence is required, which would make the WWE Universe feel more interested and connected to a character.

In the past, men like The Rock, Stone Cold, John Cena, and Randy Orton all possessed and displayed immense charisma which made them the face of a brand. Not only were their in-ring skills outstanding, but they were also great on the mic, which helps them build their character and keep the fans involved at all times.

Being the face of the brand is a lot more demanding than just being destructive in the ring. Not only does Braun Strowman have limited wrestling skills, but he’s also nearly dreadful on the mic, and has failed to build up his character well. Initially, Bray Wyatt helped build him, and the WWE’s social media has worked in building his character, without which he would have been just another monster on WWE.

To become the face of the brand, Strowman will not only have to improve his wrestling moves and skill-set, but will also need a man like Bray Wyatt of Paul Heyman on the mic for him to become as big as Brock Lesnar.
