3 reasons why Ronda Rousey recently called WWE 'fake' despite being contracted to the company

When Ronda Rousey made her debut at the 2018 edition of Royal Rumble, she got a positive reaction. After her debut match at WrestleMania 34 against the team of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, her reception became better with time. However, once she won the RAW tag team championship at SummerSlam 2018, the positive reaction began subsiding.

The final nail in the coffin was Rousey's Survivor Series feud against Becky Lynch which propelled the latter to immense popularity while pushing the former to adverse reactions.

When Rousey came to WWE, she expected the fans to root for her. However, unlike in UFC, fans in WWE rooted for the better character, rather than the better "fighter". Rousey's character, unfortunately, was not a brilliant one. Thus fans began losing interest in her. Ronda has been visibly stuttering during her promos while the fans reacted in a way she did not expect.

Thus, Rousey could have concluded that working in WWE is not worth her time, especially since she is getting a hostile reaction. Rousey might be planning to take a break or even quit from WWE after WrestleMania 35 - prompting her to shoot at WWE.
