The announcement of the second season was done 2 weeks before the show, and there was no real build-up towards the show or any fan anticipation done at all.
The teams were abruptly announced, and some of them had injuries as I stated during the start of the article, which added more fuel to the fury. The fact that your first season became a raging success doesn't mean that you make an abrupt announcement, and then think that the show will work well.
