Brock Lesnar's status with WWE since the past few years has been the subject of many debates. While some feel that the Beast Incarnate is a mainstream attraction and one of the biggest draws, many people are tired of the special treatment that he receives. However, with Wrestlemania 35 just a few months around the corner, the discussions on Lesnar's future have surfaced again.

While letting go of a part-timer like Lesnar will help in giving more spotlight to other credible wrestlers, there are certain perks that only Brock Lesnar can bring to the table. Here we look at 3 reasons why WWE should hold on to Brock Lesnar and 2 reasons why they shouldn't.

#3 Why they should: Brock Lesnar can put over many wrestlers

Brock Lesnar has one of the strongest résumés in professional wrestling. For a wrestler who has been on the main roster for only 8 years, Lesnar has achieved more than many of WWE's most elite Hall of Famers. With his defeats to John Cena at 2012 Extreme Rules and Triple H at Wrestlemania 29, it is evident that Lesnar does not have much of a problem in taking a loss.

Brock Lesnar's credibility can be used in pushing over many wrestlers. In his matches against AJ Styles, Daniel Bryan, and Finn Balor, the Beast has shown that he can make anyone look good regardless of his size. Even if he puts over Seth Rollins cleanly at Wrestlemania 35, the brand that Brock Lesnar is won't be hurt too much by that loss.

Having him put over another star at an event like Summerslam could do wonders for his career. Who knows, we might see the Demon King slay the Beast some day in the future to avenge his loss.

#2 Why they shouldn't: Too expensive

Brock Lesnar is one of the company's highest-earning wrestlers right now. Considering the number of matches Brock Lesnar wrestles in a year, he makes an incredible amount of money per match.

Brock Lesnar's contract could make any wrestler envious. Unsurprisingly, WWE spending such high numbers for a handful of matches have always raised eyebrows here and there. However, is the expensive contract of the Beast still worth it?

While Lesnar has proved himself a big draw in the past, TV ratings haven't hit any major milestones with or without him. Brock Lesnar has been in WWE for some time now and his matches aren't always a breath of fresh air. The popularity of Suplex City has been on a downhill for quite a while.

So when the TV ratings aren't exactly spiking due to his presence and the majority of fans are unhappy with his push, there aren't many benefits in holding on to his lucrative contract.

#2 Why they should: Big boost for rival promotions

Brock Lesnar has been one of the biggest draws, not just in professional wrestling, but in mixed martial arts as well. Both UFC 100 and UFC 116, which Lesnar main evented, were two of the highest selling PPVs in UFC's history at that time.

While Lesnar isn't exactly the hottest thing in WWE right now, him jumping ships could do wonders for whichever promotion he signs for.

Earlier there used to be a tug of war between WWE and UFC over Lesnar's contract. However, with the emergence of AEW, rumors of them going after the Beast have also surfaced. Indeed, Brock Lesnar going to AEW or any other wrestling promotion will attract many casual fans.

Lesnar's popularity can prove to be a massive boost for these budding promotions. While WWE already has many wrestlers unhappy with their status in the company, they cannot afford to lose a star as big as Brock Lesnar.

#1 Why they shouldn't: Discouraging for other superstars

Let's face it, no wrestler loves the fact that Brock Lesnar get paid millions of dollars in a year for a handful of matches while they could hardly make a quarter of it despite wrestling over 200 matches a year. Brock Lesnar's lucrative contract is like a dream job for many people. However, this does not send a very positive message for other wrestlers on the roster.

There are wrestlers who work way harder than Brock does and despite being extremely worthy, have to be on the sidelines because a part-timer like Brock Lesnar hogs the spotlight in the big events.

The situation has also led to many superstars asking for a contract similar to Brock Lesnar. Fewer matches and more pay. WWE could not afford to give similar contracts to many people and cannot risk losing them either. So a wise decision would be to let go of Brock Lesnar.

#1 Why they should: Brock Lesnar has a lot of big matches left in the tank

Brock Lesnar vs Bobby Lashley has been a dream match for many, either in WWE or MMA.
Brock Lesnar vs Bobby Lashley has been a dream match for many, either in WWE or MMA.

Despite seeing Brock Lesnar in matches we didn't think were possible at one time, there are still plenty of matches we would love to see. Since his return, we have seen Lesnar face off against Cena, Triple H, CM Punk, Undertaker, Randy Orton, AJ Styles, and Samoa Joe.

All of these matches were historic in their own right and most of them did not disappoint. However, the list does not and should not end here. We still have many great matches that Lesnar can offer.

Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar have always been compared throughout the former's career. Both of them have found ample success in both WWE and MMA and yet we haven't seen a match between the two. Although Lesnar has defeated both Samoa Joe and Finn Balor, fans would still love to see these two fights happen again but with a different outcome.
