#2 Probably won't return to WWE: Samoa Joe

Arguably the biggest and most shocking release from WWE this week was Samoa Joe. After making a name for himself in several promotions including TNA/IMPACT Wrestling, Joe signed with WWE in 2015 and joined NXT. He had an impressive showing on NXT, becoming the first-ever superstar to win the NXT Championship twice. He also won the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament with Finn Balor.

Samoa Joe made his main roster debut on an episode of RAW in 2017. Even though he had some massive matches on the main roster, WWE never pushed him all the way to a world title victory. During his time on the main roster, Samoa Joe won the WWE United States Championship twice.

However, Joe was transitioned into the role of a commentator for RAW and pay-per-views due to his injuries. It was been reported that WWE didn't clear him to wrestle. After his release this week, fans are excited to see where does The Samoan Submission Machine head next. All Elite Wrestling remains to be a popular choice among fans along with NJPW.

At the age of 42, it is unlikely that Joe will return to WWE again for another run, especially if he joins AEW in the coming months. Do you think WWE could have booked Samoa Joe a lot better?
