Months after Punk and WWE parted ways, the former WWE Champion criticized the company on Colt Cabana's podcast, in a tell-all interview. Punk also revealed that WWE sent him his termination papers on the day of his wedding. Mr. McMahon went on to apologize to Punk for what had happened, and added that he would like to work with Punk again.
In early 2020, Dave Meltzer of WOR reported that Punk's agent had contacted WWE for a return. Meltzer added that Vince McMahon didn't want to do business with Punk, thus closing the door on what could have been the biggest news story of the year in pro wrestling
Punk occasionally appeared on WWE Backstage, and shared his thoughts on WWE's weekly storylines and matches. The show was recently canceled, and many are wondering whether we have seen the last of Punk in pro wrestling.

He has interviewed prominent pro wrestling personalities like Noam Dar, Angry Miz Girl, Brendan Cobbina, and Jesse Lambert. Abhilash is a big fan of AEW star Orange Cassidy, as he believes the former International Champion’s on-screen gimmick of an extremely lazy guy resonates with him.
Given the opportunity to script WWE’s next big storyline, Abhilash would treat fans to the second installment of The Bloodline Civil War. He would book Roman Reigns to re-form The Bloodline with The Usos and Sami Zayn upon his comeback. The angle would see The Tribal Chief-led group go head-to-head with The Rock, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Jacob Fatu in a blockbuster family feud.
When not reporting on pro wrestling, Abhilash likes to work out, go on walks, read, and explore new eateries.
