#2 Rey Mysterio gets eliminated in the first round
Rey Mysterio made his comeback to WWE last week during the 1000th episode of Smackdown. He was scheduled to wrestle United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura in a World Cup qualifying match which he comfortably won and secured his spot in the World Cup.
During the process, he earned himself a shot at the United States Championship and is scheduled to face Shinsuke Nakamura at Starrcade for the United States Championship.
With Rey Mysterio just making his return, people expect him to at least go to the semi finals or even win the whole tournament. But it would be a real surprise if he gets eliminated in the first round itself.
Shinsuke Nakamura could interfere during his match, costing him the match. It would protect Mysterio as well and they could start their rivalry.
