#2 Ronda Rousey or Shayna Bazler will cost Becky Lynch the Women's Tag Team Championships

A possible return?
A possible return?

In the main event of last year's TLC event, Ronda Rousey cost Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Asuka. Could we see the same thing happen one year later?

This year, Becky and Charlotte are teaming together to take on the Kabuki Warriors for the Women’s Tag Team Championships. They even raised the bar this week on RAW by making it a TLC match.

Now, here's why it sounds familiar. Last year, Becky, Charlotte, and Asuka were in a TLC match for the Single's Championship. The only difference this year is that they are now challenging for the tag team gold and Kairi Sane is now in the mix. It’s doubtful that WWE will have Charlotte and more importantly, Becky loses cleanly. So, that is where Ronda Rousey or Shayna Bazler come into play.

Lynch hasn’t defended her title since Hell in a Cell back in October, so WWE is going to have to find her a fresh feud to start in 2020. Even if the match isn’t at the Rumble, the only two women that come to mind are Rousey and Bazler. Bazler is set to defend her NXT Women’s Championship next week on NXT, and she likely drops the belt there to move up to the main roster. An attack this Sunday at TLC to plant the seeds for the future feud isn’t far-fetched.

Then there is Rousey.

When the Women’s Triple Threat Match was the main event of Survivor Series last month, many thought that a Rousey return was possible, especially since the commentary team constantly brought her up. She didn’t appear, but you have to think that WWE is going to want her around for WrestleMania season.

Another thing to consider is that Rousey and Lynch have never had a one-on-one match, and Lynch didn’t beat Rousey in their triple-threat Match at WrestleMania. So, one would think that a singles match between the two for WrestleMania is the ideal plan.

With these two factors in mind, don’t be surprised if Rousey or Bazler show up this Sunday to kick start 2020 and a feud with “The Man” for the RAW Women’s Championship.
