The Undertaker and Goldberg have had careers in the wrestling business that others can only dream of and hence, I mean no disrespect to them. But whether you're a musician or an actor or even someone who's a 9-5 employee, there comes a point when you must hang up your boots because you cannot perform at the same level that you used to.
I daresay that if Goldberg were to wrestle a short match against someone younger, the match wouldn't have been such a massive disappointment. Even if it were to be a squash match, a younger performer could carry Goldberg through it.

Of course, chances are that the match would end with a spear and a jackhammer. But I'm guessing that there are a bunch of WWE Superstars sitting on the sidelines that wouldn't even mind such an opportunity with Goldberg, as opposed to just staying off television altogether.
