3 Things we could see on SmackDown Live this week (4 June 2019)

Goldberg will make his SmackDown Live debut
Goldberg will make his SmackDown Live debut

A large number of fans were waiting to see the response of WWE following an awe-inspiring show of Double or Nothing. Unfortunately, Vince McMahon's company could not give a fitting reply to AEW. WWE gave a substandard edition of RAW last week, while SmackDown Live was also ordinary.

Lacey Evans collided with SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley, and the former lost the bout. Moreover, Lacey Evans and Charlotte Flair broke their alliance after the match. Kofi Kingston took on Kevin Owens in a Money in the Bank rematch, and the champion walked out with a victory. The 24/7 Title changed hands last week when Elias pinned R-Truth, but the latter managed to reclaim the title. Mandy Rose defeated Carmella, while Heavy Machinery confronted Daniel Bryan and Erick Rowan.

The upcoming episode of SmackDown Live will be held at Sames Auto Arena in Laredo, Texas. The company already announced that Goldberg would make his SmackDown Live debut. Bayley will be the special guest of a special edition of 'A Moment of Bliss'. Furthermore, Lars Sullivan will give a special interview on the blue brand.

Since we are less than one week away from Super ShowDown, we could see an action-packed episode of the blue brand. Here we discuss three things we could see on SmackDown Live this week.

#3 Randy Orton could RKO Triple H

Besides the battle between Undertaker and Goldberg, another blockbuster bout is set to take place at Super ShowDown. Randy Orton will take on his old mentor Triple H in Saudi Arabia. Although the announcement of the match was made weeks ago, the two men are yet to confront each other. Hence, they are likely to have a face-off on SmackDown Live this week.

The two legendary Superstars have a long history in Vince McMahon's company. A young Randy Orton made his debut under the guidance of The Game. Orton and Triple H were pivotal members of Evolution. Moreover they share twenty seven World Titles between the two of them.

The two men delivered one of the feuds of the last decade. The Game and The Viper also main-evented WrestleMania 24 in a triple threat match. Considering the long history between them, we are expected to see a top-notch match in Jeddah. They can fuel the rivalry before their big clash. It will not be surprising if the Viper strikes with an RKO out of nowhere and takes down the King of Kings on the blue brand.

#2 Big E could turn on Kofi Kingston

Big E made his return a few weeks ago when he celebrated his comeback with the other two New Day members. Though he was sidelined for just six weeks, it was celebrated on SmackDown Live. Sami Zayn, who was injured for nine months, took a shot at Big E for the celebration. Surprisingly, Big E got attacked on the same night.

Big E claimed he was attacked by Kevin Owens, but the former Universal Champion denied this. It is ambiguous who assaulted Big E but we could see a twist in this storyline. Big E could have staged an attack for his next move.

Dolph Ziggler will face Kofi Kingston in Saudi Arabia. Considering Big E and Ziggler had an association in the past, the former could turn on the two New Day members.

The Shield broke up and proceeded to attain titanic success as singles competitors. Since Kofi Kingston is already the WWE Champion, we could see a similar scenario. Big E is proficient to reach the top of the ladder as a singles competitor if he decides to turn heel before Super ShowDown. We might see a match between Kofi Kingston and Big E at Summerslam.

#1 Goldberg and Undertaker could have a brawl

Will we see it on SmackDown Live?

Goldberg will make his much-awaited return to Vince McMahon's billion dollar company this week. The Universal Champion will come back after two years, as his last bout was at WrestleMania 33. As a matter of fact, Goldberg will show up on SmackDown Live for the first time in his career.

The former Universal Champion will appear on the blue brand three days before his mega-clash at Super ShowDown. The blue brand has been a territory of the Phenom for a long time, and Goldberg might be looking forward to making a statement in Undertaker's old den. The Deadman is set to appear on RAW this week and it will be interesting to see if the Phenom makes his presence felt on SmackDown Live this week.

Since Goldberg and Undertaker never locked horns in the squared circle, they could hype their bout with a brawl on Tuesday. We could get a preview of Super ShowDown if we see a Jackhammer or Tombstone Piledriver on the blue brand.
