3 things WWE must avoid at WrestleMania 35

We are mere hours away from WWE's biggest show of the year, WrestleMania 35. This year's edition of the Superbowl of Sports Entertainment takes place at the Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

The event will feature the first-ever women's main event in WrestleMania history as the RAW Women's Champion Ronda Rousey, SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair and The Man Becky Lynch lock horns in a 'Winner Takes All' Triple Threat Match.

Elsewhere on the card, Kofi Kingston finally gets a singles match for the WWE Championship as he goes up against Daniel Bryan, Seth Rollins challenges Brock Lesnar for the Universal Champion and Batista faces off against Triple H in a No Holds Barred Match.

Despite being WWE's biggest show of the year, the company has drawn the ire of the WWE Universe when it comes to WrestleMania. From Roman Reigns being the main event for four straight years to several high-profile matches falling short of expectations, the Shows of Show has been able to meet the mammoth expectations of hardcore WWE fans.

Here are three things that WWE must avoid doing at WrestleMania 35:

#3 A Lengthy Musical Performance

A musical performance at the start or in the middle of the show had become an annual tradition at WrestleMania. Artists like Pitbull, Flo Rida, and Machine Gun Kelly have performed at The Showcase of Immortals.

Although musical performances give WrestleMania that special feel, they add an extra 15-20 minutes to the overall runtime of the show and act as a speed breaker when put in the middle of the show.

Although WWE hasn't announced any musical performance for this year's WrestleMania apart from Joan Jett performing Ronda Rousey's entrance song and Elias' Musical performance, WWE shouldn't stretch this musical acts as they will end up making it lengthier than it already is.

#2 Segments involving Legends

Nobody wants to see The Rock set his name on fire

One of the most common themes in WrestleMania for the past few years (barring WrestleMania 34) has been the involvement of WWE Legends during the show as part of in-ring skits/promo segment. Names like The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Shawn Michaels have been a part of some of these segments.

Although these segments are a great way of generating that huge nostalgia pop and add more star-power to Mania, they (almost every time) involve the legends absolutely burying a younger group of talent, which isn't how the company should utilize their young and upcoming superstar, in our opinion.

In addition to that, some of these segment stretch for far-too-long, which results in some matches on the card being cut short due to time constraints. WrestleMania should be all about showcasing the current crop of talent and not burying them at the hands of part-timers and Legends of the business.

#1 Uninspiring Finishes

Nakamura Vs Styles failed to meet the humungous expectations attached to it

One of the biggest gripes of the WWE Universe for the past few years has been the way the company has booked some of the marquee matches on the Grandest Stage. Whether it be Lesnar Vs Reigns II or Sting Vs Triple H or Styles Vs Nakamura, the finish of these matches left a lot to be desired and fans were left disappointed following the conclusion of these high-profile matches.

Take Styles Vs Nakamura, for instance. Ever since Nakamura signed with WWE in early 2016, everyone wanted to see him face off against AJ Styles in a high-profile match at WrestleMania. This was primarily due to the fact that the duo had put on a clinic when they faced off during their New Japan and fans were itching to see the duo create the magic once again on The Grandest Stage of Them All.

To merely say that their dream match at WrestleMania 34 under-delivered would be a huge understatement. Although the match itself wasn't particularly bad, it dragged a lot in parts and its placement on the card meant that the fans never really got invested in the match.

There were no moments of in-ring excellence that would generally associate with Styles and Nakamura during the course of the match, and the chemistry between the duo was subpar at best. The finish saw Styles retain over Nakamura, who was a heavy favorite heading into the match.

The only saving grace for this match was Nakamura's heel turn following the match but by then the damage had already been done. WWE should avoid having another situation like this. We believe that every match at WrestleMania deserves a clean finish and the company should look to make the matches end on a high note.
