Roman Reigns started off 2015 with winning the Royal Rumble match, and every wrestling aficionado knows how the early elimination of Daniel Bryan led to the Philadelphia crowd in the Wells Fargo Centre halting the rest of the match's flow, as many started to reject Reigns rise to the top of the company.

And how ironic it is that the city Reigns would step into for the last time in 2015 was in Philadelphia, and man did the tables turn in The Big Dog's favour this time.

Already riding a wave of momentum from the unholy ass whooping he dished out on Triple H at TLC 2015, Reigns stepped into the ring on Raw facing the wrath of none other the Chairman himself, Vince McMahon.

After hurling insults back and forth at each other, the boss had given Reigns another shot at the WWE Championship on one condition; if he lost would be fired.

While everyone knew when a superstar is threatened with the sack, the threat does not hold any substance. But with the stakes laid out, Reigns was in a favorable position amongst fans in attendance to get Reigns over, nothing could stop the thunderous reaction fans would echo through the arena.

And WWE used all possible tools in their arsenal to make this match feel epic. From the League of Nation's interfering to crooked referee Scott Armstrong being called to make a controversial call.

This was not a story about Reigns overcoming the odds as an underdog babyface, this was a story about Reigns kicking ass, capturing the title and winning over the crowd in the best ovation of his career.
