AJ Styles won the WWE Championship last year on November 7th after defeating 'The Modern Day Maharaja' Jinder Mahal on an episode of SmackDown Live.

Before losing the championship Jinder Mahal was scheduled to face Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series but the WWE change their plans and booked Styles vs Lesnar instead.
Even though Styles lost his match at Survivor Series, but still, he gave a tremendous performance that night.
Currently, he is set to face Samoa Joe at the Biggest Party of Summer. There is no doubt that Joe is one of the best heel wrestlers in the WWE but he needs one more thing to establish himself as the top heel of the company and that is the WWE Championship.
Samoa Joe is very good in the ring as well as on the microphone too. He deserves to win the title sooner rather than later.
He can later defend his title against the likes of Randy Orton, Shinsuke Nakamura, AJ Styles, Rusev and many more.
