WWE took us down memory lane last week when the Superstars of yesterday returned at RAW Reunion. It was certainly one of the biggest RAW episodes in history. The company continued the momentum this week as the red brand delivered another astounding episode. A new match was set for SummerSlam after Ricochet won the gauntlet match by pinning Andrade. Hence, Ricochet will face the US Champion AJ Styles.
Things got heated between Becky Lynch and Natalya. While Lynch put Natalya in a Disarm-her before the start of RAW, The Queen of Harts returned the favour with a vicious Sharpshooter. Brock Lesnar completely decimated Seth Rollins. Moreover, Maria Kanellis became the first-ever pregnant champion in WWE history when she won the 24/7 Title from her own husband Mike Kanellis. The Samoan Summit was cancelled on RAW and a gigantic brawl closed the show.
RAW was certainly an action-packed show with some impressive matches and segments. The red brand certainly delivered some unforeseen surprises. Here, we'll discuss three ways WWE surprised us their week.
#3 Brock Lesnar's merciless assault on Seth Rollins
Seth Rollins faced Dolph Ziggler in a singles match on RAW this week. During the match, Brock Lesnar came out to take out his SummerSlam opponent. With the aid of Ziggler, The Beast delivered a vicious clothesline to Rollins.
The Universal Champion also delivered two German Suplexes to Rollins. Subsequently, Lesnar gave multiple F5s to Rollins, including 3 on an unfolded steel chair. The Beastslayer was looking helpless and blood was coming out of Rollins' mouth. The beatdown didn't stop in the ring as Lesnar continued it in the backstage area. Lesnar delivered another vicious F-5 to Rollins on the stretcher.
The brutal attack certainly surprised the fans. Even Paul Heyman was begging Lesnar to stop. Without a shadow of a doubt, it was one of the most ruthless assaults in recent memory.

#2 The RAW Tag Team Titles changes hands
Although we are just two weeks away from the Biggest Party of the Summer, a title match was announced on the red brand this week. The RAW Tag Team Titles were defended in a triple threat tag team match as The Usos and two-thirds of The OC were the opponents of The Revival. It was a stupendous tag team match and Gallows & Anderson won the match to become two-time RAW Tag Team Champions.
Gallows & Anderson had a substandard run in the last couple of years. Though the two men were big stars in Japan, they could not replicate the same feat in Vince McMahon's company. However, the title victory could be a huge boost for them and The OC.
Since SummerSlam is around the corner, the title change was certainly unexpected. After the reunion of OC (The Club), Gallows and Anderson could be set for a big push.
#1 Andrade rips off the mask of Rey Mysterio
There is no denying that the 5-man gauntlet match was one of the best matches of RAW this week. A total of five Superstars competed to decide the number one contender for AJ Styles' US Title. Ricochet, Rey Mysterio, Andrade, Sami Zayn and Cesaro were the participants of the match.
Although Ricochet punched his ticket to SummerSlam by pinning Andrade, a major surprise took place during the match. Rey Mysterio started the match against Cesaro. The former WWE Champion eliminated Cesaro and Sami Zayn but he failed to overcome Andrade. The former NXT Champion eliminated Mysterio with a Hammerlock DDT. Following the match, Andrade ripped off the mask of Rey Mysterio. However, Ricochet made the save before the final match.
Though Andrade and Rey Mysterio tussled a few times in the past, it looks like the rivalry is not over. WWE probably gave us a hint of a SummerSlam match during the gauntlet match.
