Itami is surely destined to return to Japan

Since early 2018, Hideo Itami has reportedly wanted to return to Japan, and the Japanese wrestler doesn't seem thrilled about his place in the company. It took him three years to get promoted from NXT, and he now finds himself in 205 Live rather than on one of the main shows.

Itami was a huge star in his native country prior to arriving in the WWE in 2014, so he probably didn't envision himself being such a low-carder. The WWE recently let Itami perform in a one off show for his former employers Pro Wrestling NOAH, which shows you just how little the WWE values the wrestler. Both sides look willing to go their separate ways, so expect to see Itami back in Japan next year.
