#4 Unlikely alliance: Aleister Black and Zelina Vega (WWE SmackDown)

Aleister Black (real name Tom Budgen) told Sportskeeda’s Rick Ucchino before the 2020 WWE Draft that the chances of him aligning with his wife, Zelina Vega (real name Thea Trinidad), in a WWE storyline are “zero to none”.

The former WWE NXT Champion said he obviously has a lot in common with Vega in real life, but he cannot say the same for their contrasting WWE personas.

“I personally think that it makes no sense to put me and her together because Aleister Black and Zelina Vega don’t have anything in common. Uh, Tom and Thea, who are married, have everything in common, but the characters have literally no alignment with each other. So am I saying never, never, never, never? No, but right now it’s zero to none. Like, there’s nothing that’s going to happen that is going to put myself and Zelina Vega together.”

Black and Vega both switched to WWE SmackDown in the 2020 WWE Draft after ending their rivalries on WWE RAW with Kevin Owens and Asuka, respectively.

As Black said, while a possible alliance with Vega cannot be completely ruled out, it would not make any sense from a storyline perspective to pair his character up with his real-life wife.
