The legendary theme songs of The Undertaker, The Rock, John Cena, Triple H, and many others we hear today were produced by Jim Johnston. He joined WWE more than three decades ago and composed themes for almost every Superstar.

However, in 2016, Vince McMahon fired his long-tenured employee and replaced him with John Alicastro and Michael Lauri, who are also known as CFO$. A report suggests that Johnson actually wanted to continue working for WWE but the company didn’t want to renew his contract and they let him go.

In 2019, the music producer revealed that backstage politics played a role in his firing. Otherwise, he could have continued working for WWE and doing what he loves: composing songs.

Johnston recently appeared on Starcast II and met with his fans, who still thank him for his legendary work in WWE.
