CM Punk came into the limelight through his work in Ring of Honor (ROH). Sometime later, he signed a contract with WWE and worked in their developmental territory and then in ECW. Punk didn’t waste any time in winning the ECW Championship which helped him build his name on a larger scale.

He won the WWE Championship in 2008 and kept it for a few months before forming the Straight Edge Society. A few years later, Punk dropped his famous Pipebomb promo, and it made him famous overnight. WWE saw money in him, and they handed the WWE Championship to Punk at Money in Bank. After having a great title reign, the Straight Edge Superstar lost it to The Rock, so that he could feud with John Cena.

Punk continued working for Vince McMahon for the next few months until 2014. Later, giving an interview to Colt Cabana, the former WWE Champion revealed that he didn’t leave WWE, but the company fired him, on the night of his wedding with AJ Lee. Whenever fans ask about his return to WWE, Punk always deny that he would ever return and work for Vince. Even though he made his return to pro wrestling, a few weeks ago, we are pretty sure that he won't work for Vince again.
