Big Cass came through the ranks in NXT alongside Enzo Amore and the duo pushed towards the WWE Tag Team Championships for most of their career, before Cass turned on his long-time friend.
Cass was the man behind the attack on Amore backstage and this then led to a hotly anticipated feud between the two men on WWE TV. The feud came to a head when Cass and Enzo collided in a Brooklyn Street Fight on an episode of RAW back in 2017.

The match was only a few minutes in when Cass looked to deliver the Empire Elbow but his knee gave out. The seven-foot star tried to stand back up but couldn't and then rolled out to the apron where he began hitting the floor and started throwing his arms around because he was in pain.
I looked down at my leg in the ring @wwenxt & saw my Jordan backwards: #FACT.. I got 9 screws a plate & rod in my leg: DIDN'T QUIT
Cass didn't continue the match, something that Enzo Amore later commented on. It was revealed that much like fellow WWE star Jimmy Uso, Cass had torn his ACL in the match and would be sidelined for around eight months.
