At Survivor Series 2014, WCW legend Sting finally made his first appearance in WWE, in a visual that fans never thought they would ever get to witness. Sting was always reluctant on joining WWE and felt that the company didn't treat WCW stars well. He specifically pointed at the moment when The Rock asked Booker T, "Who are you?", soon after the latter had made his way to Vince McMahon's promotion.
Sting interfered in the Team Cena vs The Authority match and helped Dolph Ziggler pin Seth Rollins. This kicked off a months-long rivalry between Triple H and Sting. The two forces collided at WrestleMania 31, and fans were almost sure that there was no way Triple H was going over. The unthinkable happened though, and Triple H defeated Sting in the end. This booking left fans scratching their heads, and the WWE Universe slams this match to this day for its result. Sting went on to have a short-lived feud with Seth Rollins but failed to win the WWE World title.

Given the opportunity to script WWE’s next big storyline, Abhilash would treat fans to the second installment of The Bloodline Civil War. He would book Roman Reigns to re-form The Bloodline with The Usos and Sami Zayn upon his comeback. The angle would see The Tribal Chief-led group go head-to-head with The Rock, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Jacob Fatu in a blockbuster family feud.
