In early 2003, Booker T eliminated The Rock in a battle royal on an episode of WWE RAW and bagged an opportunity to face Triple H for the World title at WrestleMania 19. The buildup to the match didn't sit well with many fans as Triple H berated Booker T on various occasions. The straw that broke the camel's back was Triple H's promo where he told Booker T that "people like you" don't deserve it.
After crossing all limits while building up to the eventual match, Triple H met Booker T at WWE WrestleMania 19. To everyone's surprise, The Game won the match without losing much sweat. Fans were livid at seeing this finish. After what Booker T went through in the weeks leading to WWE WrestleMania, it just didn't make any sense for Triple H to come out the victor. This match is always brought up by fans whenever the discussion turns to Triple H 'burying' Superstars. The Game held the belt for the better part of 2003, in what many dub as "The Reign of Terror".

Given the opportunity to script WWE’s next big storyline, Abhilash would treat fans to the second installment of The Bloodline Civil War. He would book Roman Reigns to re-form The Bloodline with The Usos and Sami Zayn upon his comeback. The angle would see The Tribal Chief-led group go head-to-head with The Rock, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Jacob Fatu in a blockbuster family feud.
