Luke Harper will work for WWE until next year

Luke Harper has probably made a huge mistake by asking for his release from WWE publicly. Harper lost his momentum since his former tag team partner Eric Rowan got injured. Both had a great reign with the SmackDown Tag Team Championship, but an injury changed everything.

WWE didn’t have any plans to Harper, and it’s why they kept him off from television even after he recovered from a wrist injury. The former Intercontinental Champion then thought of leaving WWE and asked for his release publicly. The chairman of the board probably didn’t like this gesture, and it increased the length of Harper’s contract as it was frozen due to his injury.

As per Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE has no plans to use Harper on future events which indicate that Vince is punishing Harper for his actions by not using him actively. Most probably he won’t offer a new contract to Harper once his contract expires next year.
