Seth Rollins is one of the biggest stars on Raw right now and is one of top babyfaces. Rollins is a Grand Slam Champion and has had a great year as a performer this year. However, the Universal Championship hasn't been wrapped around the waist of Rollins up until now.
In 2015, Rollins won the WWE World title at Wrestlemania 31 after cashing in his Money in the bank contract in the main event between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar.
Lesnar got his rematch against Rollins a few months later at Battleground, but the match was interrupted mid-way by The Undertaker and there was no definite winner.
Fans were displeased with the way their rivalry ended and felt that WWE needed to redo this rivalry once again down the line.
The perfect time to do another feud between these stars is right now, at a time when Lesnar is at the top and Roman Reigns is out of the picture. Reigns' absence gives Rollins a perfect opportunity to shine. The Architect is one of the only plausible contenders against Lesnar.
