3 WWE Superstars who should ride off into the sunset

The Phenom!

When one looks at the current landscape of the WWE, the future certainly looks bright. With a roster filled with talent, and big names from NXT and other promotions potentially on the way, the future couldn't be any brighter.

In order for the current roster to get the spotlight they deserve, there are some legends who should transition out of their current roles, and be given a proper send-off for all they have done for this business in the past 20 to 25 years. The amount of TV time WWE has to offer to all of its talent is limited, so it is time for some of the stalwarts to say goodbye.

These men include future Hall of Famers who have made tremendous contributions to the business - but the longer they stay, the less of a draw they become. Plus, this would open up more spots on the roster for some of the more established younger talents to get their shot at grabbing the brass ring.

#3 The Big Show

The Big Show!
The Big Show!

Who thought Big Show had a snowball’s chance in hell at beating Brock Lesnar the last few times they’ve crossed paths?

No matter how many times they showed footage of Brock losing to Show, you knew there was no way they were going to have The Beast Incarnate do the honours on a WWE Network special where he was a featured performer.

I’m not saying that he doesn’t have value as an onscreen character, but his time in the ring should come to an end.

He’s been turned so many times that it’s impossible to figure out whether he is a face or heel, until he starts interacting with the crowd. There’s no guarantee that will stick, because he might knock out his tag team partner two minutes later.

This type of booking has made many fans stop caring about him. I thought WWE were getting ready to say goodbye with his victory in the Andre the Giant Battle Royal, but that was not the case. It would be great to see him get a proper send-off.

#2 Kane

Looking back at the 1999 Royal Rumble match, it was amazing to see the crowd reaction Kane got when he entered. It was one of the biggest pops anyone would get on their best day. He was a viable threat, and he was an unstoppable monster who could take anyone out at any time. That was 19 years ago.

The fact is that Kane while still capable of having a passable match, has already become a nostalgia act. For reasons that I don’t understand to this day, he was booked in a main event feud with Seth Rollins where he used the split personality gimmick.

It was entertaining, but to think that he even had a minor chance in putting away Rollins would be stupid. It didn't look like Rollins’ title was in jeopardy, it was not possible to suspend your disbelief long enough to buy into that feud.

With the recent happenings in the WWE, I would suggest a match with The Undertaker one more time at WrestleMania, and both guys should call it a career at The Grandest Stage Of Them All.

#1 The Undertaker

One of the greatest superstars of all time, he has already become a special attraction. It still gives people goosebumps when they hear the sound of the gong. He is a legend, he is The Phenom. It’s time for him to take his place among the rest of the legends.

It’s fortunate that his match against Brock at WrestleMania 30 wasn’t his last. Fans were legitimately concerned about his well-being after the fight concluded, as he got a concussion. He’s come back to have a great series of matches with Brock, and even knock off Bray Wyatt and John Cena at WrestleMania 31 and 34 respectively.

It would be great to see him have one last match with Kane if John Cena is not ready for another match at WrestleMania, that would be an acceptable pairing.

Ideally, people will love to see The Undertaker vs John Cena one final time, with The Undertaker finally hanging up his boots. John Cena should get the win, with Taker getting the time in the ring for one last salute.

These three greats have given their blood, sweat, and tears to the WWE. They certainly deserve a proper send-off. Giving them the moment to shine either leading up to, or at The Show of Shows would provide WWE with an opportunity to thank them for their contributions, and let them gracefully ride off into the sunset.
