The return of the legend killer

With all the high octane action suggested in the previous point, the question raised is, which Superstar will benefit the most by walking out of WrestleMania as US Champion? Orton retaining is a smart move as it allows the US Title to get credibility from the future Hall of Famer. However, Bobby Roode recapturing the US Title will benefit his career by allowing him to make his mark on the main roster.

However, Jinder Mahal having a chance to hold the title with which he can work heel magic is intriguing. Mahal winning this match could help his career moving forward and if booked right this also benefits Randy Orton.

Orton has been a staple of the main roster for the last 18 years and even though he is a multi-time World Champion, Royal Rumble winner and Wrestlemania main eventer. Orton's character has become monotonous and to attain that credibility again WWE needs to snap "the Viper" and that can be achieved with Orton losing to Jinder Mahal for the 'hundred' time.

As Orton is reaching his 18th year a wrestler, WWE can address Orton's change of attitude as someone that doesn’t have the ability to take on younger, hungrier, and fresher talent as he is now an ageing viper. And by destroying Jinder Mahal, Bobby Roode, the cameraman and even an announcer, Orton can rejuvenate his career.

As he can now revert back to the legend killer but he is now a legend himself, thus, this time he's not hunting legends, he is stopping new legends from being created and stopping them from taking his spot. This won't only allow Orton to rejuvenate his career but allow him to work with younger talent and give them credibility.
