#3 The Miz and Shane McMahon get a title shot

The Miz and Shane became the new SmackDown Tag Team Champions at the Royal Rumble
The Miz and Shane became the new SmackDown Tag Team Champions at the Royal Rumble

The Miz waltz out to the ring, challenge The Bar for a match for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship at the Royal Rumble, The Bar accepts and that's it, you have your title shot. What history does the duo of Shane McMahon and The Miz have as a tag team? They even lost to a couple of jobbers and hadn't faced any competitive opposition.

But still without any objections, they get a tag team championship match, shouldn't they have been tested in a few matches before getting a title match? And why did no one in the SmackDown locker room not object to it? SmackDown is 'the land of opportunities', but does it mean that even the unworthy get an opportunity over the more deserving bunch? It just didn't make sense and the more you think about it, the more it seems unfair to the whole roster. The Miz and Shane are now the new champions, and it does bring a breath of fresh air to the whole tag team roster, but it could have been done in a better way.
